How to use

For Smart MicroVision NX. Structured cases go through Path-Snap, not personal messaging.

Focus a well-lit field through the eyepieces before attaching the phone. Start at 10×. Keep room light off the eyepiece-camera junction. Flash off.

Fit NX

  1. Focus the slide.
  2. Place the phone or tablet on the platform.
  3. Measure from the lower edge to the centre of the main 1× camera.
  4. Set the red line or arrow to that distance.
  5. Seat the adaptor and align the camera with the eyepiece using the lit disc on screen.
  6. Tilt until the field is circular and even.

Record phone model, scale, and orientation. Capture an overview and a high-power field. Do not send near-duplicates.

Phone or tablet

Prefer a dedicated laboratory device. Silent / Do Not Disturb. Main 1× camera. Flash, HDR, auto-rotate, GPS, and cloud upload off unless policy requires them. Lock focus and exposure when sharp. Keep battery above half and the screen awake.

Path-Snap

Use Path-Snap only for specimen types listed on its page. Teaching sets without Path-Snap: strip identifiers, one patient, low- and high-power views, a stated question. No faces or LIS screens.
